My Story
Then, during COVID, something pulled me back to it, and this time I started in the New Testament instead. For the first time, it actually made sense. God began teaching me — patiently, plainly — what sin is, who He actually is, and what it means to be holy. That changed everything. Romans Nine Twenty came out of that season. I teach the way I wish someone had taught me: honestly, verse by verse, without pretending the hard parts don't exist. If you've ever felt like the Bible was too complicated, or like God was somewhere you couldn't quite reach — I understand that, because I lived it.
I’m the youngest of six kids, raised in a French Canadian Catholic family where God was always present, even if I didn't really know Him. I believed in God for most of my life without actually knowing Him — there's a real difference, and it took me decades to understand that. For years, I tried to read the Bible, always starting in Genesis, and just as often gave up — it felt distant, hard to follow, like a book I couldn't find my way into.
What I Believe
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error, and the final authority for what we believe and how we live. (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
There is one God, who exists eternally in three equal persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
We were created in God's image, but everyone has sinned, and sin separates us from a holy God. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:2)
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross in our place. He rose bodily from the dead and will one day return. (John 1:14; Luke 1:34–35; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:11)
Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus alone, not earned by our own efforts. Everyone who comes to Him is forgiven and adopted into God's family. (Ephesians 2:8–9; John 1:12)
We must be born again. When we put our faith in Jesus, God gives us new life and makes us a new creation. (John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, lives in every believer, comforts us, and helps us understand God's Word and grow to be more like Jesus. (John 16:8; John 14:26; 1 Corinthians 6:19)
Baptism by immersion is an outward display of an inward change, showing that we have died to our old life and been raised to new life in Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4)
Jesus will return, and those who trust in Him will live with Him forever. (John 14:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17)
